Mel was my first agility dog and has two legs towards his NA & NAJ titles but unfortunately he was never able to get his last legs for those titles. Mel is very willing to please but agility isn't his cup of tea and I decided to quit because it wasn't something he really enjoyed. Mel's real calling is as a therapy dog and he is a favorite with residents at the local nursing home. He has also done well as a juniors dog. Mel has participated at many local canine events, local state fairs, parades, responsible dog owner days, as well as demonstrations in obedience, conformation etc . He has served as a great ambassador both Shelties and purebred dogs in general. Mel is known and loved by many. Mel can still be seen at these events and he may come out of retirement to serve as a juniors dog again in the future.   Retired Home
