Bearded Iris
I miss these
we had lots
of them in
Kansas
They do not
do so well in
the Coastal
South
thanks to
our bugs,
humidity
and wet
ground.
This one is
planted  in a
rocky dry
area near
the house
African Irises White Above and Yellow Below
African Irises do great in the Coastal South and I
plant them in place of bushes in lots of areas.
Flowers are small but I love the evergreen foliage. I
love the flowers of the yellow but I have had constant
problems with white flies on the yellow. Not so with
the White and I now plant only White African Iris

African Daises
I bought this one on a "throw out rack" last year and it thrived. I planted more this year. They are
perennial and take all the abuse that a South Alabama  summer can throw at us. Heat, humidity, drought,
bugs and torrents of rain this one keeps blooming and thriving. The freezes we had over the winter didn't
seem to bother it either and I did nothing to protect it. Colors range from purple, pink to yellow but most I
have seen are purple. It is turning into a nice ground cover under my "Knockout roses" Likes full sun.
