| RESCUES |
| During any given time of the year we may have a rescue or two that we foster via Southern Alabama Sheltie Rescue. I foster only two rescues at a time but I do have contacts to other rescue groups/individuals. Rescues are current on all vaccinations and other vet work, heart worm tested and treated if positive, microchiped and spayed or neutered before adoption. During the time they are being fostered each dog is worked with and learns basic obedience and house manners. There is a contract and adoption fee, the adoption fee of $150.00 helps to cover some of the vet bills. Rescues cannot be adopted with registration papers. If you are interested in doing performance events with a rescue you may apply for an ILP through the American Kennel Club and I will he happy to assist you with this. We also cannot make any guarantee on the genetic health of a rescue. I will try to keep pictures of current foster dogs posted but because I am not a computer person please Contact Me for current information and pictures on rescues. I hope to get a website just for rescues going soon We do not adopt to the following cities/states that I feel to be unsafe to have a pet because of extreme animal rights activism and/or have anti breeder rescue people. The cities and states are: Louisville KY and any area near Louisville KY Wisconsin North Carolina For more information on Sheltie Rescue or to make a donation to Sheltie Rescue please go to assa.org OUR CURRENT FOSTER DOGS Please click on the dogs name to go to their page Betty - Double Blue Merle Border Collie 5 months old Tommy- Blue Merle Shetland Sheepdog 4 years old Cody- Sable Merle Color Headed White Shetland Sheepdog 1-4 yrs old |
